Multicentric Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Rare Case Report

چکیده
Abstract Multicentric fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma has not been reported yet in the world as of our knowledge. A Medline search for term “multicentric HCC” did return any results. To knowledge, this is first case report multi-centric (HCC). We present a 22-year-old male patient who had complaints epigastric pain 1 month. His general physical examinations were normal. Computed tomography abdomen revealed multiple hyper-enhancing space-occupying lesions, one which showed central scar. The final diagnosis was multicentric HCC, biopsy proven.

Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma: report of a case.
We report a case of fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma, which occurred in a 58-year-old man with normal liver function. Preoperative ultrasonography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging depicted a large tumor in the left lateral segment, which was compatible with the typical radiological features of fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. He underwent left lobectomy and no ly...

A 6-year-old Malay boy presented with fever and abdominal pain for 2 months. Computerised tomography showed a nodular mass in the left lobe of the liver. There was also portal vein thrombosis on the left side. Serum alpha-fetoprotein was not elevated and Hepatitis B antigen was negative. Biopsy of the liver mass led to a histological diagnosis of fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. In view ...

introduction : fibrolamellar carcinoma (flc), a subtype of hepatocellular carcinoma (hcc), is a rare primary hepatic malignancy. several aspects of the clinical features and epidemiology of flc remain unclear since most literature on flc consists of case reports and small cases series with limited information on factors that affect survival. majority of the tumors occurred in patients less than...
متن کاملA genomic case study of mixed fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma.
BACKGROUND Mixed fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma (mFL-HCC) is a rare liver tumor defined by the presence of both pure FL-HCC and conventional HCC components, represents up to 25% of cases of FL-HCC, and has been associated with worse prognosis. Recent genomic characterization of pure FL-HCC identified a highly recurrent transcript fusion (DNAJB1:PRKACA) not found in conventional HCC. P...
